Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss While On Cymbalta

Recently, I m experiencing noticeable hair loss. The only new drug I ve started is cymbalta, but after researching, it appears to not be a side effect. It s not coming out in clumps, more like shedding! Sny thoughts? I do get Keratin treatments quarterly, but have for several years now!

Hi, thanks for your question.

Depending on the cause of the hair loss, several drugs are quite effective. However, commonly used drugs are minoxidil and psoralen which are applied on the area affected. Your doctor would also suggest steroid creams, and steroid injections depending on the cause of the hair loss.
