Three months ago was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. Started as an acute UTI that did not respond to oral antibiotics. Was admitted and was given antibiotics through the vein. IC symptoms have been constant since. Question. I am experiencing rapid hair loss during the last three weeks. Hair is brittle and of different texture than before. No other change in medication except vaginal estrogen cream that I was given by gynec. to use the last few weeks. Could original antibiotics be the cause of my hair loss so much later? Or maybe the estrogen cream??
