Suggest Treatment For Severe Depression

my wife has been seeing a psychiatrist for 4 years and see is not getting any better .she is full of depression and has no energy to do anything .she tells me she can t take it anymore and that she just wants to be back to normal.this is the 3rd doctor that she has seen and all they do is over medicate her and then they say see you in a month . I don t know where to turn to help her .all she does is cry and sit on the couch and does nothing .she has lost all interest in our relationship . please help

Hello,

Your wife having severe depression according to mentioned history. You need to consult only one good qualified psychiatrist for her treatment.

If standard anti-depression drugs like SSRI not work than atypical antidepressant drugs can be prescribed.

These medicine might take six months for seeing improvement. The electroconvulsive therapy and behavioral counseling also will be useful. So you can consult a psychiatrist and discuss all these.
