Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Bronchitis

I have had a severe cough for over a week now. It continues to get worse. It is in my chest. I cough yellow and white phlegm up when I change positions. I had to sleep sitting up last night. When should I see a doctor? I have had severe bronchitis a lot in the past. I am a 66 year old male.
