General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here your pain is very high but investigations are normal....

If chest x ray , pulmonary function test and ECG or echo normal then pulled chest muscle as you have stated can be the cause....

If muscular strain severe enough then it can cause severe pain.....
For grading severity of muscle strain CT scan useful....

Take rest...
Simple analgesic taken...
Avoid strenous activity.....
Heavy weight lift avoided.
Supine position for sleep.....
Hot pad can applied.....
If needed compression bandage can be applied.....

Healthy and balanced diet taken...

Take care.
