Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest Congestion, Coughs And Runny Nose
I have a cold that has gone to my chest, coughing, runny nose, lots of congestion. I am using Mucinex but this has lasted 2 weeks now so called doctor and just picked up a prescription. Methylprednisolone dosepack. His office is closed and I m not sure if this a medication for what I have.....I generally go into pneumonia with a cold. I thought he was going to prescribe an antibiotic.

It is better to start on antibiotics. Consult a physician and start on antibiotics preferably Amoxiclav. A chest X-ray can be taken to assess the progress.
