Suggest Treatment For Severe Chest And Back Pain

Hi my ecg, echo and tmr were normal, when I took them 3 months back when I had similar chest pain in the middle and left of the chest and on the back sometimes. Should I take any tests related to heart again. Or should I take other tests related to gastric/lungs. I have mild chest pain from past 2 weeks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Because you have started again with the chest pain, at least an ECG and heart ultrasound, which are easy examinations, are indicated. The doctor may also do a chest X-ray to evaluate your lungs as well. As for the stomach, you may try to get some Omeprazole 40 mg 30 minutes before breakfast and if this does not help you may need an endoscopy which will examine both the esophagus and the stomach inner layer.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
