Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having buttocks pain for the past 9 weeks. Both lobes. Doctor has given me Naproxen 500mg twice a daynand blood test shows everything is okay. Doctor has changed Naproxen to Ibuprofen but it s not still helping. Any idea what the underlying cause might be and how to treat this ? I m in pain especially when I sit down. Is this any symptom of cancer HIV etc? Please help.
Your symptoms seem to be related to myalgia. I recommend you to continue using anti inflammatory medication such as Naproxen twice a day. I also recommend you to use anti inflammatory cream for local application. Heat compresses can also be very helpful.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
