Suggest Treatment For Severe Buttocks Pain After Bowel Movement
he just had a hemordectomy thursday he finally had a bowl movment today but now he is having a lot of pain in his rear. he says it s all around his annis, which i suppose is normal, there is alot of swelling, what should he do at this point for the pain?

Hi,
It can happen after surgery there. As anorectal area is a bit prone to infection due to unhygienic conditions. Swelling indicates that infection is still there and needs to continue with anti inflammatory drugs and antibiotics. Please take hot sitz bath with boric acid in water and also add betadine solution.
