Suggest Treatment For Severe Bipolar Disorder

I am 49 years old with bi-polar - among other things........ I am also a gastric bypass patient. I was recently put on Concentra. I thought it was messing with my digestive system (or maybe it was the chocolate I'm not supposed to eat) and causing me to loose weight. I got off of it for about a week. I was told to give it a second try. It has only been a few days, but so far, no tummy issues. Are digestive issues a "normal" side effect of this drug? How about weight loss?

hello user , concentra (methylphenidate) is a stimulant drug and yes it can cause loss of appetite and some weight loss in certain patients . although it is advisable to discuss these issues with your prescribing psychiatrist and take the medicine as advised
