Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety

So I was reading about PTSD because of a book I read once. In it, there was a character who had an abusive older brother. And it was, really bad. The brother who was being abused was being abused almost daily. When he finally got away from the abuse, he acted strangely. When anyone would go to touch him, he s flinch or start shaking. He had really bad nightmares, and he would sometimes have panic attacks, or at least something like them. At first I figured that it was just the leftover anxiety from the abuse taking a tole on him, but he said he didn t used to be like this. So I was wondering if he has PTSD, anxiety, or something else. What do you think it is?
