Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety Behavior In A Child

My 8 year old daughter is displaying severe anxiety behavior that is strange and unusual. I am worried it is something serious, but she will say its happening again and become scared, clinging to us, become silent and go off in the corner, after I have comforted her. Her breathing becomes heavy, will say she cant breathe, and that people seem frozen and she feels like she will be frozen as in immobile, like a statue. We have to keep moving around to curb her fears, and she becomes restless and has to move around. She says its hard to explain, but she feels it in her body. It has happened before during other times, but not like this, mostly during night terror episodes, any ideas for me? It comes and goes, and the trigger for this episode was catching the flu and becoming really sick. This is day 6 of dealing with this, and it is highly stressful for all of us.
