Suggest Treatment For Severe Acid Reflux While On Neopeptine

Hi, Our Daughter is 8 weeks old. Her Paediatrician has prescribed Neopeptine drops for her gas problem. The prescribed doses are 0.6ml - 0 - 0.6 ml. However, the suggested dose mentioned in the medicine packaging is 0.5 ml (about 12 drops) daily in single of in two divided doses. Please suggest if .6 ml in the morning and .6 ml in the evening is safe to administer.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The recommended daily dosage of Neopeptine is maximum 12 drops. To increase dose has not been approved yet, also it may have many side effects. I suggest you breastfeed more often your baby and try gentle massage after breastfeeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Suzana Zharri,
