Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Pain And Diarrhea
My daughter has been on medication with 2x500=1000mg per day of DIVA-OD-500 for last 17 days.She is having stomach pain and frequent loose motions for last three days.To control motions she has been given ROKO capsules of CIPLA What are side effects and does it need reduction from 1000mg to 500mg only She is feeling much better compared to when she was put on medication

I think her diarrhea is related to acute gastroenteritis, and not to Diva-od-500.
Roko capsules can help, but should not use for a long time. Instead, I encourage to use:
- tasectan or pepto bismol for diarrhea
- probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- plenty of fluids especially water with oral rehydration salt to replace lost electrolytes
- BRAT diet (banana, rice, apple sauce, toast)
