Suggest Treatment For Sever Tinnitus And Hearing Loss
I Have Meiner s Disease and have tried everything and been to many Dr s. I believe it might be a crown which I had done 8 months before my first symptom. I have sever tinnitus as well as hearing loss on that same side. The only time I had relief from the tinnitus was the 1st night I tried a guard for grinding my teeth. Two days later after still wearing the guard at night my symptoms came back and it has now been two years later. My Dentist is going to pull off my gold crown and put a temporary crown to see if that helps. If not I want to have the tooth pulled. What do you think, is this the right coarse or action. Thanks

Hello....if it is meniere's disease then it has nothing to do with teeth.....I would suggest to get a pure tone audiometry done. If it shows the affected side sensory neural hearing loss than one more special test of hearing needs to be done i.e. SISI( Short Increment Sensitivity Index) or TDT( Tone Decay Test)- if they are positive than its a cochlear pathology, pointing towards meniere's disease.
So first get an audiometry done and then decide the further management.
