Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
You seem to have severe grade acne.
If I was the treating doctor I would have started you on
Oral antibiotics e.g either
Azithromycin Or Doxycycline Or Minocycline. They can be continued for 4-12 weeks depending on the severity of acne and response to treatment.
Besides Oral antibiotics, Oral Retinoids are also an option for moderately severe to severe grade acne. They are the most effective.
Topical I usually ask my patients to use either
Benzoyl peroxide or clindamycin during day time for inflammatory acne.
Topical retinoids may be started for night time application. Retinoids are first line treatment in all grades of acne; they are comedolytic and therefore also prevent new acne formation. They should be applied to the whole affected area once daily at night.
You may visit a
dermatologist in your region. Your dermatologist will assess the severity of your acne and advice accordingly.
Of course, chemical peeling is an option;
salicylic acid peel is usually done for acne. You can discuss in more details about it with your dermatologist.
