Suggest Treatment For Septic Arthritis

thank you for your help. my husband was in a hospital for septic arthritis for 3 weeks and was given dilaudid q 3 hrs 4 mg each time. he informed the doctors in the er that he was a street drug user of heroine IV user for on and off 20 years. he was sure to inform the health professionals of this. anyways, needless to say he was stereotyped from jump. he was not using street drugs in the hospital and was happy to know this could be his last battle with heroinesince he kicked it with the dilaudid..... during this 3 weeks a certain nurse woke us up at the hospital at 430 and told him it was doctors orders to administer narcan because it was protocol. i looked up this drug because in less than 3 minutes he was feeling so terrible it scared me. he had a conversation with the nurse who injected this in his body as she was giving it to him. is it not suppose to be given for opiate overdose correct? he had not overdosed on what they were giving him. we were asleep.
