Suggest Treatment For Seizures Following A Severe Head Injury

I was recently started on Depakote 250mg for seizures following a severe head injury and traumatic brain injury. I am seeing my physician in about an hour and I think he will discontinue this drug due to severe swelling in my lower extremities What are my other options?
