My sister is 65 y/o and is a resident in a long-term care facility. She has had a CVA at 54 y/o leaving her with a (L) hemiparesis. When our mother passed away in 2009, she had a NSTEMI with a triple CABG. Over these last few years she has developed scoliosis with kyphosis. Her posture is terrible. Her chest is folded in on itself, for lack of a better word, when sitting. When lying, she is able to lie flat. She currently has an URI and is on guaifenesine and a antibiotic, but has such poor cough effort. Is there anything else she can take to help cough the mucus up? I don t want her getting pneumonia. Thank you. Billie Wyatt
