Suggest Treatment For Scar On Lungs

Hello! Just got my xray last tuesday and here is the impression PTB on both Upper and Mid lung areas . I am worried because I completed already a medication but that was year 2010. I am assuming that it is supposed to be scar right now. Do i need to take medicine again? Please advise!

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM. Yes, you are right . This can be a scar tissue. TB lesion heals by either fibrosis or calcification. So once you have taken the treatment it is likely to have scar tissue. So in my opinion you should consult pulmonologist and get done Sputum for AFB and Bronchoscopy with BAL analysis. If both these are negative for TB than you are not suffering from TB now. It is just a scar tissue. You can also go for CT thorax. This will also tell you about scar present or not.
