Suggest Treatment For Scalp Sore Scab

I have a sore (crusty) on my scalp behind my ear. Cannot wear my glasses without sharp, piercing pain. Some days it is more severe than others. Have not checked my blood pressure but have been having aura without the migraine, coincidentally. Why should the glasses all of a sudden need a change that cause this soreness, Trying to figure out if all of this has any connection. Any clues?

Hi,

Based on the symptoms you have described, it is possible that the sore on your scalp behind your ear could be a sign of skin cancer or another skin condition. It is important to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist or healthcare provider for an evaluation and diagnosis.

Treatment options will depend on the underlying cause of the sore. If it is determined to be a type of skin cancer, treatment may include surgical removal, chemotherapy, or radiation therapy. If it is a skin condition such as an infection or inflammation, treatment may include antibiotics, topical creams or ointments, or other medications.

In the meantime, it is important to avoid picking or scratching at the sore, as this can cause further irritation and potential infection. If you experience any sudden changes in vision or other symptoms, such as dizziness or headaches, seek medical attention immediately.

Regarding the glasses, they may be causing pressure or irritation on the sore, exacerbating your symptoms. It may be helpful to schedule an appointment with an optometrist or ophthalmologist to have your prescription checked and ensure that your glasses are fitting properly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
