Hi there, i would like to know what would be the best treatment with someone with romatism? the romatism has been troubling her for a very long time now and it is now giving her pain all over her body. the romatism is at her left knee, and at the moment she doesn t walk properly, her left leg is kind of going bend, and even when she sit down she will be feeling pain from her knee to her chest. the age of the person should be around 50 plus.
Rheumatism or arthritis rheumatoid is a chronic medical condition. It can be maintained under control through medications but it can not be treated completely. I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen Ibuprofen relieve the pain. I also suggest cold compresses at the painful knee to relieve the pain.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
