Suggest Treatment For Rib Cage Pain

For about two years I have pain on my rib cage, actually it seems like on top of the rib cage there are little nodules that upon deep pressure they hurt like hell. I have investigated and found that everyone has these small not like structues but it seem like I am the only one that has massive pain and aching wchich leads me to start massaging them to only flare or worsen the pain. It rotates, sometimes it s the midaxilay line from my armpit to the last rib and it can feel like someone is squeezing my ribcage. Also I have been to my md and he tells me it s all in my head. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to costochondritis.

I recommend doing a chest x-ray to help through the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
