Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that your wife is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis . There are two type of medicines .One group is analgesics another group is disease modifying drugs. I treat my patients of rheumatoid arthritis by tramadol (analgesic), methotrexate(disease modifying agent) and folic acid. These drugs are to be monitored according to response of patients and should always be given under strict supervision of doctor. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care
