Suggest Treatment For Res Painful Bruises After Falling

I hit a gate really hard (I am a ski racer) and it is completely red and very painful and some other bruises that i got are black and blue and have a few little red dots and lines in the middle. What does this mean when my bruises aren t just black and blue but they also have red dots in them.

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain it seems that due to hitting hard there has been

rupture to small blood vessels and there has been accumulation of blood

into the soft tissues and there is formation of bruises and red dots are

nothing but petechiae and are also due to inflammation and oozed blood..

The pain and swelling is also due to inflammation.

I would suggest you to do cool compresses over the swelling ..

Take painkillers that are potent of reducing inflammation also like Ibuprofen..

You can elevate the leg while lying down..

Apply an analgesic gel like Diclofenac for reducing pain..

In case of no relief in a week consult an Orthopedician and get evaluated..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
