Hello,

If there is no trauma then it can be inflammation. It may not be related source of infection, so it is to be detected.

The antibiotic prescribed thinking it be an infection. the infection may be resistant to clindamycin. It is not related to the other location.

There is no reason of migration of different part that to area specific. If the area is detected then culture and sensitivity can be done if done and most effective antibiotic can be started.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
