Suggest Treatment For Redness And Soreness On The Penis Tip

I am a 66 year old male who suffers with incontinence following prostate cancer surgery. The surgery was 8 years ago and my PSA is undetectable. This morning I woke up and the tip of the penis is red and very sore at the opening. It is not a STD as I am monogamous and have no ability to have an erection anyway. Any thoughts?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on your description, it appears that you could be having a urethral infection near to the tip of the penis.

You need a clinical examination for its evaluation. You might require a course of analgesic and antibiotic medications for its treatment.

Kindly consult Urologist for clinical evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
