Hello,

I think that sore tongue with reddish bumps seems to be due to aphthous stomatitis leading to inflammation inside the mouth and along with it there seems to be aphthous ulcers or canker sores. Reddish bumps can also be due to inflamed papillae leading to transient lingual papillitis. As of now you can start gargling with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine to relieve the symptoms.

You can also take a vitamin B complex and lysine supplements daily. You can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen. Suck ice and do cool water rinses. Avoid spicy food. Follow for at least a week but if it still does not improve consult an oral physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
