Suggest Treatment For Red Spots And Rashes On Leg

I am pretty sure my son has poison ivy. He has a dark red spot on his leg that looks like it was a mosquito bite that got popped. The rash is all around the opening. And the dark red seems to be getting bigger. Gut instinct tells me it is getting infected. But Dr offices are closed tomorrow. I have a prescription for mupirocin 2% ointment that I was given for a burn I had that got infected. Can I put that on his dark red rash?

till the time you can go and show it to the doctor or the rashes if they abate on their own, you can apply the mupirocin ointment locally it will not cause any harm if it does not help much
