Suggest Treatment For Recurring Ear Ache

i have a severe ear ache that is reoccurring. when i originally got it (last week) i thought it was an ear infection and the pain was no where near as intense. i took some ear drops that temporarily made me think it had gone away but tonight it came back and I m wondering if its something worse than just an ear infection. a family member tried putting garlic drops in my ear to make it go away but it hasn t done anything. the pain is a throbbing and it kind of feels like my ear is popped from being on an airplane or something. although i wouldn t dare try to unpop it right now because of the severe pain. any help??

ENT Specialist 's  Response
It could be a boil in the ear canal, impacted wax can also cause pain more after putting oil or garlic drops. A ear examination by ENT expert will settle the issue. If it is boil or infection an short course of antibiotic and analgesic/antiinflamatory is the treatment. If due to wax, dewaxing by syringing etc is to be done.
