Suggest Treatment For Recurring Abdominal Pain

I have been experiencing abdominal pain that seems to come in waves and woke me up from sleep last night. I am not vomiting and do not have abnormal bowel movements they are regular, normal, light, not runny and but smaller than usual. The pain is on both sides and feels sharp and uncomfortable, my stomach rumbles and then the pain goes away. Seems to be worse when I eat or drink... no fever, or chills and I have never had this before.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of recurring abdominal pain. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , food allergies , lactose intolerance , irritable bowel syndrome , appendicitis or crohn’s disease. Need not to worry. You should consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test along with ultrasound and take history . Doctor may prescribe omeprazole , ornidazole and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also recommend surgery in case of appendicitis. I would suggest you to avoid taking dairy product , food like broccoli , take antacid after every meal or eat light and non spicy . Sometimes abdominal pain occur due to UTI so also consult urologist .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
