Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Fever In A Child

My 3 year old is getting fevers every four hours since yesterday evening. He didn t eat much yesterday but has been eating today. He had two solid stools yesterday and one this morning. No vomiting but I can hear his stomach rumbling and I do see him pushing on it. He had a cough and runny nose a few days prior. Still has a phlegmy cough. He doesn t seem lethargic but is less energetic.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Give antibiotics for 3 days if fever doesn't subside, do blood investigation otherwise, it is normal viral fever and it recovers only with antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muniraju K G
