Suggest Treatment For Rashes Under The Rib Cage

I have a rash on my sides just under my ribcage on both sides of my body. The rash is symmetrical and presents as small raised red bumps cluster tightly together. I ve tried topical ketoconozole and steroids but neither seemed to help. I get mild relieve from putting lotion on it but I ve had it now for months and it s not going away. I m also pretty sure that it s not psoriasis. I should also mention that my wife washes my clothes with hypoallergenic detergent. Any idea what it could be? It s slowly driving me insane.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It could be due to eczema or seborrhoea.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
