Suggest Treatment For Rapid Heart Rate

Hi, I m a 34 year old female. My heart rate has been high lately, and I often feel slight pain in my left side around my breast area. I ve been to two heart Doctors and wore a monitor for two weeks. Everything came back ok. A few times on the monitor my heart rate got a little high, and at the second doctors office my heart started racing, and it was a little high. The doctors did say to lose weight and stop drinking caffeine. But, I m SO scared and I feel like something is going to happen to me. The heart doctor at the University Of Penn, said there is a pill to lower the heart rate, but I should try losing weight first. When this happens its a REALLY uncomfortable and scary feeling, it s happens when I m totally relaxed or even ready for bed.... Can anyone tell me what they think about this. Thank you :)

I understand your query and concern.
Your symptoms are suggestive of Arrhythmias of heart.Get an ECG,2 D Echo immediately to confirm the diagnosis.Drugs like Betaloc,clopitab,Ecospirin can be helpful.Monitor blood pressure and heart rate regularly.Anti hypertensives are needed if blood pressure is >140/90.Electrophysiological study with or without Radio frequency ablation is the treatment of choice.Coronary angiography before the procedure is needed to rule out any blocks in the heart.Consult your cardiologist for expert management.
