Suggest Treatment For Raised Bump On Throat And Thick Sticky Saliva In Mouth

I had one raised bump that developed about 6 days ago on my tongue in the middle - then just developed two on each side of my tongue recently with thickening saliva in my mouth developing this morning. I feel fine, but am worried what this is from. I made appointment with an oral specialist on Thursday, but wanted to see what the possible causes could be.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have raised bump on throat and thick sticky saliva in mouth which is because of poor oral hygiene, stomatitis and infection of oral cavity. if you have any underlying medical condition that could be the cause of your symptoms.

Need not to worry about it. Maintain basic oral hygiene as membranes of oral cavity gets infected very easily. Use antimicrobial mouthwash to prevent bacterial accumulation.

You should visit oral physician once and get it examined and start treatment accordingly. You may need to change your eating habits a little. Try not to talk and eat at the same time. Avoid eating sharp and spicy food.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
