Suggest Treatment For Purple Thumb After Injury
Hi my 10 year old had slammed the car door on her thumb it got purple took her to the doctors they said she was fine but that her nail would fall off since yesterday it s been bleeding from every once in awhile not that much either a few drops at a time but I just notice it has a very foul smell is that normal?

From history it seems that there might be having crush injury on thumb leading to infection.
She might require one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine course for 3-5 days.
Clean the part with antiseptic lotion and do dressing with antibiotic cream, preferably by the doctor.
Give her tetanus toxoid shot.
