Suggest Treatment For Progressive Pain And Thrombosed Hemorrhoid
Hello Doctor, I think I m experiencing thrombosed haemorroid and the pain is increasing from yesterday. Would you reccommend something? I am under medication for stomach infection and having o2 tablets and drinking 3 liters of water everyday. Pls suggest a home remedy. Thanks
For symptomatic hemorrhoids, we recommend initial conservative treatment with dietary management consisting of adequate fluid and fiber intake. For pain you may benefit from soak buttocks in 2 or 3 inches of warm water. You can do this up to 2 to 3 times a day for 10 to 15 mins. Do not add soap, bubble bath, or anything to the water. You can also use cream or ointments that you rub on your anus to relieve pain, itching and swelling. You can use hydrocortisone cream but do not use it more than a week. If you do not improve see a doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Heang Chan Raksmey, General & Family Physician
