Suggest Treatment For Polyuria For A 19 Year Old Mother

Hello, I m a 19 year old female who has a 16 month old. I m experiencing frequent needs to pee every 10-20 minutes. I can t sit down because I feel very uncomfortable. I feel a lot of pressure on my bladder and I m experiencing dizziness and back pain aswell. What could this be? When I lay down its not so bad but even when I walk it doesn t hurt but just feels very very uncomfortable. When I go to the toilet only a little bit of pee comes out and I don t feel stinging just a weird pressure and throbbing feeling.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms can be related to a urinary tract infection. I suggest to do a urinalysis and a urine culture to confirm the diagnosis. Meanwhile, I suggest using a spasmolytic to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest to drink liquids and especially cranberry juice for relieve. If the diagnosis is confirmed, antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
