As per your complain scar over the face due to picking a pimple can occur due to Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation that is caused due to inflammation post pricking of a pimple.. Toughness of skin seems to be due to scarring.. As you also have another one year old scar, the scars will take a long time to lighten, say about few months to almost an year as such scar are stubborn.. is a steroid long term use can make your skin thin and can even cuse more pimples and rashes.. It should therefore be used only under supervision and advise of a Dermatologist.. You can however use safer depigmentation creams like those containing Kojic acid, glucolic acid, Vitamin E, Arbutin etc.. You can use facewash that helps in easy peeling away of dead skin like Salicylic acid and glycolic acid.. Exfoliate your skin twice a week.. You can also go for professional treatments like Chemical peeling and Microdermabrasions.. Hydrocortisone cream will help in fading the scars but as it Hope this helps.. Regards.
