Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vomiting And Diarrhea

Every few weeks for the past 3 months, when I get overheated or over stressed or over tired, I end up with vomiting and diarrhea, and severe exhaustion for days afterwards. Then I get back to normal, until it happens again. What could be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Getting into stressful situations, including those physically (overheated) and psychologically (over stressed), it is common to get gastrointestinal distress (vomiting, nausea, diarrhea). These are not serious. Once stress is over, these symptoms will disappear on their own.

You should work more on managing stress instead. Psychological support by family, friends, or healthcare providers can be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
