Suggest Treatment For Persistent Vitiligo While On Methoxsalen
Hi Dr I have vitiligo since 2 years my Dr suggest me methoxsalen tablets with sunlight I want to that should it cure vitiligo .I have spots on my hands n feet I m using methoxsalen from a month ago there is no sign of improvement. I want to know that does It works??thank you

Actually there is no perfect treatment of vitiligo. But whiteness can be reduced by medicines. Methoxsalen is effective in treating vitiligo but ot takes a very long time to show its effects. You have to continue its sue for a minimum of 6 months to show its effect.
Advice
1. Continue methoxsalen as suggested
2. Apply betamethasone (Betnovate) cream at bed time daily
