Suggest Treatment For Persistent Pain In The Sternum Area

Hi, I ve had this pain that is a little lower than just between my breasts for a while now. It sometimes radiates to below each breast and is worse when I wear my bra or anything constrictive. I had my gall bladder out in late December, which took care of the stomach issues that I was having and I thought that this pain was related to that, but this pain has not seemed to go away. It seems to get worse when I eat. At it s worst, I can feel it radiate around to the sides of my ribs and sometimes to my back.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to gastritis which is an inflammation of the stomach lining. I suggest using Omeprazole 20 mg in the morning before breakfast which is a gastro protector. I also suggest using Maalox three times a day.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
