I injured my left knee about a month ago getting out of a car, I thought I just twisted my knee but the pain was getting worse. I finally went to a quick care and they did a x-ray saying they couldn t see a tear because of the swelling, it s gotten worse with sudden movements, I can t run or walk fast. Now my other knee (the right knee) has experienced a burning in the kneecap area. So now it hurts, not sure what to do.w
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history and understood the concerns. Since there is a gap of one month of symptoms of left knee pain and the symptoms have persisted due to injury caused during getting out of the car. X-ray is sufficient only to show bony injury. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult an Orthopedic Surgeon for clinical evaluation. MRI of the affected knee is a must as this alone can tell the injury inside. Get operated if there is indication as suggested by your Orthopedic Surgeon. Till then use knee brace. Strict rest to the knee is the best till you are well diagnosed.
