Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cough And Severe Bronchitis

My Dr. prescribed a medrol dose pak with levaquin 500mg,1qdx10d for a persistent cough(lasting 4 weeks post treatment and possible resistance to keflex treatments twice for severe bronchitis (10days keflex500mg,tidx10d-about 8 days later reoccurrence of symptoms so second dose 10 day regimen given again along with albuterol inhaler). My health status, since I am 66 yrs, female and relatively great health except for hypothyroidism(75mcgs synthroid qd) 60 lbs overweight :-( & a medial ankle sprain, (which on the first round of keflex, I was prescribed Mobic 15mg1qdx30) the cox2inhibitor helped the ankle but may have worked against my immune fx using keflex 10 days for the bronchitis). This was background history nec. Question: will the methylprednisolone dose pak suppress my immune system while taking the levaquin x10 days increase my risk significantly for tendon failure since both taken concomittantly double my risk of tendon rupture?( I understand the reason to 60 yes& current medial ankle sprain still healing) I want to thank you very much for yout imput and expert advise.;-) jb
