Suggest Treatment For Persistent Ascites

I have had ascites for about 6 weeks now. Doctor finally figured out why. I have Budd Chiari Syndrome. Am n blood thinners for that and diuretics for the ascites. How long does it take for the ascites to go away? I am going to Mayo in 2 weeks and I am sure I will get an answer then but would like to know if this will subside before then
