Suggest Treatment For Peripheral Neuropathy Causing Popping Of Joints In Hips And Knees

I have peripheral neuropathy caused by chronic sciatica and degenerative lumbar disc disease of the 5th lumbar. It is painful for me to walk and I have a lot of joint popping in my hips and knees. I am being treated with 2400mg of ibuprophen and 900 mg of gabapentin. I have had this condition for over a year. I am improving very slowly. Will I get better? Is this going to be a long recovery period?
