Suggest Treatment For Painful Pimples In The Labia

I believe I have a stye on the inner labia. At first I thought it could be a pimple and started off extremely small, didn t bother me. Today it has doubled in size and feels firm but when pressure is applied to it, it s actually starting to hurt. I will see a doctor but any idea what this is or what caused it?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely bartholinitis. This is caused by blockade of bartholin glands or infection. Infection can be from anal side or due to massage activity while having sex. Warm compress and applying povidone iodine ointment will be helpful. If not getting relief then you may need oral antibiotics.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.

Thanks,
Dr. Nishad BN
