Suggest Treatment For Painful, Large, Swollen Pus Sacs In Mouth
My daughter has these large pus sacs in her mouth that are very swollen she has been to the er twice and is on her last antibiotic it seems to be getting worse they looked inside her mouth and said it was strep, however she was never tested. she is in a lot of pain I am very concerned. Should I take her to the er again?
As per your query painful, large, swollen pus sacs in mouth of your daughter is nothing but oral cysts which occurs because of accumulation of serum like fluid in these pouches which gets infected and become pus like.
You should visit dentist and get it checked if any risk factor associated with these cysts. Biopsy should be done after taking fluid from these pouches to find underlying pathology. Get X-rays done to know the size and extent of cystic lesion in mouth. Take painkiller like ibuprofen and drink a lot of water to prevent oral cavity from drying.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
