Suggest Treatment For Painful Gums While Having The Habit Of Chewing Tobacco

So I've been chewing tobacco for about 9 years now, and every so often my gums where I place my dip feel a sharp pain. I have also noticed the receding gum line below my k9. Gums are starting to turn white. But I am wondering if my nerve endings are being exposed and that is why I have pain in my gums during and after I take a dip. What is the cause?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain sharp pain after dipping tobacco can be due to continuous irritation in gums as well as erosion of the enamel leading to dentinal hypersensitivity..
White appearence of gums seems to be due to hyperkeratinization that can be due to a condition known s Leukoplakia..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine..
Take anti-oxidants like Lycopene and multivitamins..
You can also use desensitizing toothpaste and a soft toothbrush for brushing teeth..
Completely avoid the intake of tobacco as it can cause oral cancer..
