Suggest Treatment For Painful Blister On Sole

I woke up with a painful blister on the bottom of my foot. It felt like I was walking on a rock. I poked it with a needle and clear fluid drained from it. I ve done this before with blisters and they went away after that without a problem. I put triple antibiotic and a special medicated blister band aid.. Now it is still painful and swollen and I squeezed it. There s a large white circle underneath my skin. More clear fluid came out but also a chunk of tissue or skin and now there s a hole in the center of the white circle. What could this be? How should I treat it?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of painful blister on sole, my treatment advice is -
1. Wear loose footwear to avoid pressure on the affected part.
2. Drain the blister with sterile needle if it becomes fluid - filled again.
3. Apply a mild antibiotic cream like fusiderm cream twice daily on it.
4. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain and swelling.
5. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics like levofloxacin, cefadroxil and azithromycin taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
